May 28th - Fitness Fair

Be fit - get fit - stay fit. Wed. 8-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. This day will be full of activities, information, demonstrations, fitness class samplers. Have fun learning how to stay fit. Mark it on your calendars!

Thursday's Table

This is a community program which started in April. Meals are prepared and served every Thursday evening in the Semcac Dining area at the Senior Center. There will be several opportunities for the Senior Center to serve meals starting July thru Jan. We need volunteers for meal preparation, serving, clean up and greet. We do not have our dates finalized, but are taking names for volunteer work crews. Please call 664-3700 to add your name to our list. Thanks!!

A Potluck of Spring Salads- Thurs., May 22nd

Bring a salad to share during noon lunch, and a recipe you like to make or grill in the summer months. Bring a salad and you eat free, others pay $3.00. Beverages and paperware provided. Come join us!

America in Bloom. Senior Center is participating!

If you no longer have a spot for a flower bed and miss the enjoyment of digging in the earth, you can help us with a new flower bed of annuals to be planted in the front of the Senior Center. We will also need someone who can water our flower beds, when Mother Nature forgets to. Our back flower beds need attention also, more top soil and mulch to start with. Can you Help?

"What I Saw in Palestine", by Bill McGrath.

Monday, May 19th 1-2 p.m. Last summer Bill lived with a Christian Arab Palestinian family for 28 days. Come hear about his experiences, and view his pictures as he shares with us his fascinating story. Members $2.00, others $3.00.

Great River Shakespeare Festival Classes.

May 9, 5-7 pm - Discussion of Plays and Merrymaking at Village on the Cannon. May 22 7-9 p.m. Taming of the Shrew Discussion, and May 29th 7-9 pm Merchant of Venice Discussion, both at the Senior Center. Have you signed up for the bus trip to Winona? Includes play ticket and dinner with the cast. Sat. July 12, and Sunday July 13th, sign up for either day, or both - deadline is June 12th. Register at the Senior Center. Times vary for each day, call 664-3703 for more information , also check out CVEC.org. Cost for each day is $75.00
