The Chime Choir meets September through May at 9:30 – 11 am on every Thursday at the Senior Center under the direction of Marilyn Finneseth, the choir makes beautiful music with three octaves of chime notes.. Each member of the choir usually plays two chime notes. By counting the rhythms and then playing notes at the appropriate time, those individual notes are magically turned into soothing and inspiring songs. If you have ever played a musical instrument or would like to learn, come try it out. No fee.
Directed by Donna May, this group of women perform during two seasons each year: December holidays, and late Spring. Weekly rehearsals on Tuesday afternoons are scheduled for the 6 – 8 weeks leading up to these performances. All women are welcome to join. Watch for notices about rehearsal and performances in the monthly newsletters.
